There is no shortage of sites telling you what to bet. Almost none of them tell you why, and a good number are funnelling you toward a paid tier. We do neither.
Every pick on this site starts from the betting market itself. Sportsbooks are good at pricing games — better than almost any tipster — so rather than pretend otherwise, we read their prices carefully. We strip out the built-in margin to recover what the market genuinely thinks will happen, then look for the places where the best available price is out of line with it. That is a real edge, and it is a small one, and we say so.
We also publish the numbers most sites hide: the bookmaker's hold on each market, the true probability behind a parlay, and the games where we have found nothing worth backing. A day with no value on the board is a normal day.

Frequently asked questions
Is SportingPicks really free?
Yes. Every pick, prediction, odds comparison and tool on this site is free, with no account required and no premium tier. We earn a commission when readers sign up with a sportsbook through our links, which never influences which side we recommend.
How do you decide which side to back?
We take the prices every sportsbook is quoting on a game, strip out the bookmaker margin to recover a fair probability for each outcome, then look for the side where the best available price is longer than that fair probability justifies. Where no edge exists, we say the game is a coin flip rather than manufacturing a pick.
Which sports do you cover?
The NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL — every game of every season, with a dedicated prediction page per fixture plus team pages, live scores, standings and schedules.
Do I have to sign up to see the picks?
No. There is nothing gated on this site. The optional email list sends a daily summary, but every pick is on the site whether you subscribe or not.
